Jessica Curado is a Portuguese actress based in London. Her focus is film and television.

Her short film work includes Parallel Truths, Feliz Ano Novo and Firar, and A Casa do Guarda, which she also co-directed. Her screen training includes a masterclass at Pinewood Studios, an intensive screen acting course, and workshops in Atlanta with Cindy Hogan and Erik Lingvall.

She trained for three years at ESAD in Caldas da Rainha, where her stage work ranged from John Ford’s ’Tis Pity She’s a Whore, as Annabella, to Iris Murdoch’s Acastos.

She is drawn to psychologically complex characters with layered personalities, inner conflicts and rich emotional worlds, and to performances that explore the subtleties of human behaviour, where what remains unspoken can be just as powerful as what is said.

Alongside her native Portuguese, she speaks English, Spanish and French.
